USA TODAY to Expand Health Coverage

MCLEAN, Va., Sept. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Beginning Monday, September 12th, USA

TODAY will expand its health coverage with the A Better Life: Health page

devoted exclusively to health topics. Every Monday, the page will deliver

timely, practical and accessible health news -- from diet and nutrition to

cancer and heart disease.

A Better Life: Health will include a new consumer health column that will

address topics of personal interest to our readers. Readers will be offered

the opportunity to ask questions and express their concerns in the column.

The expanded health coverage will also include new quarterly in-depth

special reports covering such topics as heart health, allergies, arthritis,

and colds and flu. The first quarterly feature will run in January and focus

on heart health.

"Health is one of our major coverage areas and one of increasing critical

importance to our readers. We decided it was time to anchor our coverage on a

specific day so that readers would always know where to find the information

they need. We'll still be covering breaking health news and delivering strong

news and enterprise throughout the week," says Susan Weiss, managing

editor/Life, USA TODAY.

Advertisements supporting this effort will appear in Advertising Age,

ADWEEK, BRANDWEEK, MEDIAWEEK, MedAdNews, and PharmaLive for the next two

weeks.

Advertising units are available on the page opposite USA TODAY's A Better

Life: Health page. Half page or full page advertisements in black and white or

four color are available. For additional information, please visit
