A Kalamazoo woman will spend a year and a half in prison and will have to pay almost $200,000 in restitution for defrauding Medicare and health insurance companies.
Rebecca McKenzie and her corporation, Aquatic and Physical Therapy Associates, were submitting claims for physical therapy services that were never performed, double-billed, or non-reimbursable services.
Several other defendants have also pleaded guilty and will be sentenced next year.
McKenzie's company is also required to pay almost $200,000 as well.
