WASHINGTON, Aug. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Seth Ingall of Potomac, Md. was elected
a vice president and member of the board of directors of GEICO (Government
Employees Insurance Company), the fourth largest private passenger auto
insurer in the United States. He will head GEICO's national claims
operations. His appointment to vice president was confirmed today by CEO Tony
Nicely.
Mr. Ingall succeeds John Geer, who has taken on another assignment for the
company related to GEICO's expansion plans.
Prior to today's appointment, Mr. Ingall served as assistant vice
president for GEICO, GEICO General, GEICO Indemnity and GEICO Casualty, with
responsibility for GEICO's claims operations in Fredericksburg, Va. Before
assuming that position in 2004, he served as administrative senior claims
attorney in the company's home office claims department.
Mr. Ingall, who joined GEICO in 1986, held a number of positions of
increasing responsibility before earning his law degree and joining the office
of staff counsel where he subsequently served as managing attorney in the
Silver Spring, Md. staff counsel office.
He holds a bachelor's degree in communications, legal institutions,
economics and government from American University and a law degree from
American University's Washington College of Law. He is admitted to the
District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia Bars.
